I AM NOT A POET

I am not an elegist. I am only a man who picks up a pen. I write the thoughts that cross my mind, and then I put the pen down again.

People call me a poet. I don't think they really understand. A poet is a bard of beauty. I just write as a man.

I do aspire to be a poet. An odist to the eclectic divine. A lyricist that expresses the wonders, That lie in the depths of time.

For now I will just be a writer. I will dream of the poet I may be. I will look and scribe in honesty, All the majesty that God allows me to see.
